Went to the semifinals of the national Golden Gloves final in Grand Rapids Friday night. Lots of good fights and met "The Champ" Sean O' Grady. Went to Miejer Gardens on Saturday. Beautiful place - 130 acres of gardens and sculpture. Stopped for a piece of pie on Sunday while homebound and met two fighters from the Olympic Boxing team, their dad and coach. Good homemade pie is becoming harder and harder to find. Got home and learned the new grandson had arrived that morning. After a short visit with the new baby and proud parents, picked up the other grandson and went home. Had a cup of coffee and a piece of rhubarb - raspberry pie with a little ice cream on the side.
Doesn't get any better than that.
