Link Array

As opposed to Link Wray. I added another link to the education sidebar - Curmudgucation. Like me, another old guy espousing his views on the current state of education. Unlike me, he pretty much stays on topic. Not a bad idea to listen to some of us "elder statesmen" before we all leave the field. The local paper the other day noted that one of the school corporations near by has ten teachers retiring this year. That's a fairly large number for a corporation that size. (Traveling Pirate, that's your last corporation.) Additionally, the new link contains a slew of other education links too.

Now that we've covered the link array, might as well throw in a little Link Wray.

Wow, looks like I'll have to spend some time reading there! Love hearing others opinions on the state of education... HATE this time of year. Seems like rumors start flying about whos losing their program or whats getting cut next. We just learned today that just about every administrator in our district either got moved around or "non-renewed"...

Probably the only good thing about all the crap going on in education this year is that with all of the older teachers bailing out, there's no need to cut programs to save money. If it keeps up, they'll be looking to cut programs because they can't staff them.

Moving administrators around never really solved much that I ever saw. They'll take a good boss who runs a tight ship, transfer him, and then the good culture they had disappears. Then he has to start over building a relationship at another school. In the meantime you have two schools that no longer run smoothly.
